VFXRIO 2016 - ILLUSION AND ART: THE MAGIC OF VISUAL EFFECTS - MUSEUM OF TOMORROW

The second edition of VFXRio brought together experts from Brazil, Hollywood and Bollywood at the Museum of Tomorrow. VFXRio 2016 unveiled some of the secrets of the effects that impress on the big screen (games) and the big screen (movies and TV) on November 28 and 29. The event featured the producers of "Game of Thrones" and "Star Wars" and a chat with Brazilian, European, Hollywood and Bollywood producers and was sponsored by Telecine with the support of the Museum of Tomorrow and the Rio de Janeiro City Department of Science and Technology. In addition to the lectures at VFXRio, the Museum of Tomorrow hosted an exhibition on the history of special and visual effects in cinema: "Illusion and Art: The Magic of Visual Effects in Cinema", which was on display until December 11. The exhibition featured details from 16 films, from Fritz Lang's classic "Metropolis" (1927) to more recent works such as "Star Trek: Without Borders". The guests represented the following organizations: Globo, PIXOMONDO, Industrial Light and Magic, Strotostorm, Nerdeo, Design LAB, Screenyug Creations PVT and ACM Siggraph.
