VFXRio brought to the country the head of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" studios and the person responsible for the character Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy", among others. Some of the most important names in visual effects from the world of movies and games arrived in Brazil at the beginning of December. They came to VFXRio, the first event exclusively dedicated to visual effects in the country, which took place on December 2 and was sponsored by Telecine, with the special participation of Mike Sanders, Senior Director of Activision Central Studios, on December 3 at CCXP in São Paulo. The guests represented the following organizations: Globo, O2, Conspiração, IMPA - Visgraf, VES, ACM Siggraph, MPC and ACTIVISION.

VFXRio had its main focus on training and improving the workforce for the audiovisual market. For this reason, it entered into a partnership with ACM Siggraph (http://www.siggraph.org/), which focuses on the research, development and dissemination of visual effects professionals and companies and is the largest computer graphics event in the world.
