Masterclass: End of certainties - IoT, Cloud and AI

on Interpreting Climate Patterns - Casa Firjan 26/10/24

What if we could use technology to have some predictability about changing futures? This masterclass aims to give participants a comprehensive understanding of how IoT, web and AI technologies can be used together. Using the example of a weather station, we will present how to collect weather data, transport it to the cloud and use AI to create a human interface that interprets this data.

Facilitator: Matteo Moriconi, Director VFXRio, Researcher and Collaborator of the Visgraf Laboratory, Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) with the collaboration of Caio Souza (PhD in Mathematics from IMPA)

The "Generative Weather Man" experiment combines IoT, Web and AI to create a dynamic and interactive virtual weather presenter. By integrating IoT weather sensors with web-based data processing and generative AI capabilities, the system is able to collect environmental data in real time and interpret it through a virtual persona. This persona, an AI-driven character, analyzes and presents weather information in a creative, human-like way. The experiment demonstrates how interconnected technologies can enrich data interpretation, making technical information more accessible and engaging for users.
