As part of our essay series dealing with synthetic art-metaverses, generative art and AI-this essay offers a more creative approach. Using Midjourney and ChatGPT, we created a series of imaginary letters between artists and Belgian Surrealist painter, Rene Magritte, as a point of departure to consider issues in AI, creativity and how we humans interact with machines.
