Dan Lemmon is known for his work as the visual effects Supervisor of the Mowgli films – The Wolf Boy (The Jungle Book) and the trilogy of the Planet of the Apes. He received an Academy Award ® for the Jungle Book and was nominated for the Academy Award ® and BAFTA Award for Dawn of the planet of the Apes and Rise of the planet of the Apes. Both films gained the Visual Effects Society awards for visual effects. Dan contributed to six films that won the Academy Awards ® for visual effects and also won the VES Award for visual effects on a commercial and a Gold Clio for his work in advertising. He is an active member of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, the British Academy of Cinema and Television Arts and the Visual effects Society. Dan joined Weta Digital at 2002 to work in The Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings "The Return of the King." He was the supervisor of digital effects on Peter Jackson's King Kong and acted as supervisor of visual effects in Avatar and Man of Steel.
