Ricardo Laganaro

Ricardo Laganaro is an award-winning Brazilian director with degrees in social communication from ECA-USP, advertising from ESPM, and filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. He is a partner and Chief Storytelling Officer at ARVORE Immersive Experiences studio in São Paulo.

Ricardo Laganaro's latest project, "The Line," has received a series of international awards, including "Best VR Experience" at the 76th Venice Film Festival and a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming. He has been a speaker at events such as the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, Comic Con Experience, Wired Festival Brazil, Mediamorfosis, Demand Solutions, among others. He is also a guest professor at the Laboratory of Design and Immersive Experiences at the Belas Artes University. Ricardo was chosen by Oculus to be part of the "VR For Good" program, where he directed the virtual reality documentary Step to the Line, considered by "Fast Company" an innovative example of how the horizon of VR can be expanded to change people's lives, and Time magazine cited the piece as one of the five best virtual reality content for mobile phones.
