Lecture: Behind the Scenes of the Creation of one of the largest Design Labs in the World
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1984), Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1991), specialization in Chemical Engineering (ceramics) from the University of Valencia – Spain, and PhD in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1999). Currently, he is an Associate Professor 2 at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He has experience in the field of Design, with an emphasis on Digital Design, Interaction Design, Interactive Digital Television, and Interface Design, mainly working on the following themes: Design, Human/Computer Interface, Ergonomics, Internet, Virtual Environment, Signaling Systems, Creative Economy, and Content for Interactive Digital TV. He leads the research groups SCTIC – Structuring Research for Santa Catarina, TECMIDIA, TECSAUDE, and Visual Communication. He works as a researcher in the Television and Digital Media Group at UFSC.
